Gainsborough School, Hackney
BPL were appointed as the Quantity Surveyor and Contract Administrator for Gainsborough School. We liaised with the client, and managed the main contractor and architect to produce an award-winning External Playground and Entranceway for the children.

We're very proud of the work we did for Gainsborough School, and the work included:
- Alterations to the school entrance and the playground
- Adjustments to the entrance of the school campus
- Internal circulation around the school playgrounds
- Landscaping between Berkshire Road in the main school building
- Installation of the entrance canopy to the main support building
- Refurbishment of the Victorian outbuildings for the storage
- External toilet facilities and educational teaching community spaces
- Installation of a canopy to the eastern facade of the main building
- Installation of the playground equipment and associated soft surroundings.
The project was nominated and subsequently won at the Hackney Design Awards and was shortlisted for RIBA Public Realm Awards in 2021.
